I just paid off the cager and left with my title in hand!

But here's the big one...

I just sat the wife down and explained how it isn't fair that I can't get another wing with out selling old girlfriend. I told her how it just isn't fair for me to have to run her into the ground or to catastrophic failure OR sell her after all the work I've done to her, before I can get a bigger wing. I mean come on...there is no F'n way I'm ever going to part with the dashboard I got from Andy, same goes for the other parts I got from him. You all have seen the pics, she was a stripped down dog when I got her. Hell, I had never even adjusted valves until I learned here for old girlfriend. I further explained how I refuse to let a bunch of dumb-***** that don't know squat about Goldwings pick her apart because they think I'm asking too much.

Anyway, she understands now and is even cool with the fact I might have to go out of state for the right wing.

Go Omega!

Yeah but a 1200 might not be enough. I think the late 80's were the biggest fattest ones. Anyone know what the biggest Goldwing is? That's the one I want.

I think the 1500 is the largest most roomy model. I don't know if Honda changed the frame from one year to the next.

I saw one of those big spaceship Victorys frames the other day. It was ugly with a very unfinished look, it looked like big chucks of pig-iron put together by a child.

If you havent seen the assembly of the goldwing video from the discovery channel it is interesting. Wait until you see the 1800 frame :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

I rode a 1500, thats the next step for me..
but like O I cant imagine parting with the 1100.
heres a compromise.
stretch the 1100 frame to accommodate a 6cyl 1500 engine. then relocate the brake and gear to the forward controls.
Thats one Looong Talll wing.

1500's are nice! (Lot of plastic though!) My buddy across the street has an '06 1800 and has owned several 1500's. We discussed 1500's and he warned me that there is a specific year that frame cracks were a big issue. I do not remember which ones but when I see him I'll ask.
