A good old buddy who is no longer able to ride is allowing me to buy his 79 GL 1000. Paint and chrome is really nice, but has not been in service for a good while. Will probably stay a project for near future, but I'm eager for my friend to see her out on the road again. Health is causing him to sell both the 79 and his sweet Valkyrie Interstate, but the Valk is out if my price range. My friend has ordered a battery for the Wing and is trying to find the keys. Once he finds those, I'll probably spend several evenings at his garage until we get things freshened up.
. A 1500 bought new, which now has over 141,000 on it, & still runs like new. :yes: Three 1200's, one 87 interstate, great bike. :yes: With two 84 standard's, which are my favorite's till the weather starts to turn. :roll: Then they get put away, & the other's come out to play. :smilie_happy:
