Due to what can only be described as a comedy of errors, that being, busting the nibble (the little deal that keeps it from rotating on the bar when twisting the throttle) off the righthand handlebar switch while changing out grips, getting another one and then finding a frayed throttle cable, I have had occassion to remove my fake tank complete with compresser lines, to change them out.
Following removal I found that the rubber strap that holds a solid state unit in place at the front left of all those electrics was broken and the thing is flopping around, I took note of the wire colors and checked the diagram, turns out it's the brown thing at the top right of the drawing labelled "control unit", now I could get a new one on fleabay with a strap for about $20.00.

But my question is this.....
Do I really need it? following those wires back on the drawing it looks like all I'm likely to lose is the completely useless PITA tachometer light that tells me my rear suspension pressure is low, just when the ride gets comfortable.
Can someone else have a look at this schematic and tell me if I'm wrong, thanks guys.
