I believe I should rebuild my rear shocks before heading to Alaska with a trailer.
I have had no problems with them but they are 30+years old. The front were done last fall.

I want to keep the air option. I think I need the progressive 416 spring. Is this correct?

What other parts will I need to rebuild these shocks?

If you have the part number handy that would be great. Where should I look for the parts?

Is 10 oz of oil the needed requirement with the slightly bigger spring? What kind of oil do I put in the shock?

I have never done this so I am on a learning curve here.

Thank You

You'll need the spring kit, and two seals. I haven't found the bump-stops available anywhere...I put in small rubber bushings when I did mine, but when I put new seals in a couple of weeks ago, the bushings I used were gone.... :crying:

New dampers have new stops, & with new springs seals & boots you have a set of progressives for a lot less money.

Don't know if you can order direct from Progressive, without being a shop, or dealer, :headscratch: call & see. If not go to dealer & order parts for 83, spring's & damper's fit stock cans, as well as seals & boots, new shocks at discount prices.

Those are the springs I found but I do not know what kit D means.
Not sure the kit D means anything important..Kit A is the front progressives, a google search on the other letters revertes back to kit D.

Well here is what I ordered. I hope it works out.

The pic of the oil seal does not really look like a seal.

That seal "kit" is NOT what you need for the rear shock seals! It looks to me like it is for the line fittings, not the actual lower shock seals.
The part number for the two lower seals for the shocks is 91257-463-013. This is the Honda part number. Most of the parts places will be able to convert this number to what they sell.
