The battery and most of the electronics, and Wiring will be housed/hidden under the well in the Valk. tank.

Wow there was at least a inch of dust & dirt on the valk.

The other Idea I had for the 4cyl valk.

Was to swap in a Complete GL 1800 Rear Suspension/drive/brakes/wheel, that I picked up from a guy that did a trike conversion.

These parts were all off of a brand new bike that was being converted to a Trike

I bought the following GL1800 parts

1. Alum. Rear Pro arm/Swing arm
2. Rear Wheel
3. Final drive
4. Drive shaft
5. Rear disc brake
6. Rear Caliper
7. Rear mono shock

Since it is/was to be a Valk. 4cyl. Build a Oem 4carb rack, was what I was thinking at the time as it would go along the whole 4cyl. Valk. theme.

But since riding a GL11 w/ single carb. I now, know the Single carbs virtues, and I would much rather go to a single carb.

but have a oem 4 carb rack for the valk. look.

My Oem 4 carb rack on my 86" gl12, are working flawlessly, other than, coming out of winter storage, there is a start up routine, and, I must ride the carbs back to a good running state.

Usually about 100 miles cleans them up.

If i go the GL1800 Rear Pro-Arm swing arm & wheel

I can Basically go with either a 195 or 205/55 16, Car Tire the 195 being easier to install, with directional tread and at least an H speed rating and AA traction.

I think that would look cool having all that Rubber & Alum Swing arm exposed out back.

i've seen 2 projects (If i go the GL1800 Rear Pro-Arm swing arm & wheel) in the works on the naked site, pretty sure one at least is using the 1000 frame

they don't seem to successful over there in those project but I thing its doable big time if I had one id be doing it ...without a doubt
i don't think either one is up and running yet, but lotsa stuff has been gone over as far as fitting goes

I bought two Swing arms from New triked GL1800's.

So I been thinking of using at least one of them up, some how.

I will have to go over to NGW and see what they are doing over there in regards to GL1800 swing arm grafting to 4Cyl. bikes.

I like the idea of having a 205 sized CT on the rear.

Yes of coarse, pic's out the ying yang,

Dont!! touch those pics, it's not sanitary, run them under some water will ya

I was thinking that a larger/longer piece of triangulated steel, welded over the existing swing arm attachment.

Current Measurements will need to be taken.

The GL1800, is slightly wider at the attachment point, If i remember correctly, than the 4cyl.GL is.

I would also graft the two drive shafts together, meaning the splined section of drive shaft from the GL 4cyl. cut and welded to the GL1800 drive shaft.

Then I would tie into the Center stand support, as it is the strongest section to mount the GL1800 mono shock to.

When you figure out how to mount that 1800 swingarm do post the procedure with lot's of pics.

My original vision for the 4cyl Valk., was to have is basically like a 6cyl. valk.

only 4cyl.

4 carbs, valk gas tank, valk. Single seat, and some customizing.

BUT!!

I am liking the single carb setup, Too Much, But that takes away from the Valk. look.

One carb per cylinder is a Macho look for sure, and too much is never enough.

I will see if i can mount carb top caps, and chrome cover plates to the tubes to make for a 4 carb look, or to obscure the view into the engine area with some chrome/polished bling.

Also was going to go with a HD Roadking CVO Long Mufflers, mounted low parallel to the ground, No up-swept.

Nice thing about the GL1800 Proarm is,

It too can be painted, for frame match, or left in it's original state.

I have not decided which?

Looks like some very nice Fab work though,

A super charger too!

Dang!!

Single carb power is all that i need, well that and a 25h.p. shot of NOS

in that thread i believe, there's a link to the other build but i forget what the details were,

the tubular approach was decided on to go/bolt into the stock frame,

otherwise you are looking at major gl10 mainframe changes/mods to go in as is with the 1800 swingarm unit

I believe that is a 75' GL1000 frame that he used.

I will be using a 84' GL1200 Frame, which should stronger.

It looks Long.

But this is because No seat.

I would Look different with some frame for the seat, and the Single seat mounted.

A single Valk. seat is over a 12" long.

Picture that 14" long Single seat sticking out over the swing arm and you have a better idea of proportion.

Then a tail light from under the rear seat.

GL1200 frame is also a little longer
