For any of you who post your videos.
Does it cost anything to post on youtube?
I have looked and did see anything so I assume it does not I do not want to sign up for something with hidden cost.
And is youtube a good place to post to?
I want to post a video of Stella with her new alternator charging. (not to show off or nothing) yea right :Egyptian: just proud of the way she turned out
Just in case anyone wanted to see.
Thanks in advance.
Jerry

Youtube has different levels of accounts, but you can create an account and post personal video free of charge. The file size has to be small, within 10 minutes, and it takes a very long time to upload. If you add music you don't own the rights to they will mute the audio. I think Dan has a way to post video here, but I haven't spent the time to figure it out yet.

Youtube is prolly the easiest way to get vids posted, it is free for "normal" accounts. You'll need to sign up, and go from there. I think Dan can convert different types of video files to play here.
You can also store vids on photobucket...I have several there. You can post a link to them then....not sure if there is a direct play option or not...I'm checking that :rtfm: now.

Youtube is the easiest for every day use.

If the file isn't too large you can try uploading into a post as an attachment.
I've never quite figured out the limitations in file uploads so just try it, may work.

Certain videos I like to convert into .flv so they'll work with our embeded player then save them to the forum's server for future.
I think scdmarx put a video on a server once and it worked with our embedded player.
