Gosh when I first started riding we didn't wear helmets and boy did I eat a lot of bug. They would smack into my eyes too, amazed I can still seE.

Done that, been there....try ridin down thru southwest Texas, hill country, in the summertime, when the grassinghoppers and tarantulas are swarmin....it's like being hit wid buckshoT!! :shock: :ahem:

That reminds me , about the Bugs hitting you on a Bike....years ago , I was following my Cousin coming back home about midnight , we was running maybe 70 mph , he was right in front of me , and all of a sudden I saw all this stuff flying into the Air , ( he was in my headlight ) and he was weaving all over , and brake light came on....and he was stopping....... well, a small Screech Owl had hit the edge of his helmet , right between his Eye and his Ear , on the edge of a Open Face Helmet. when he took his helmet off, there was Feathers , and parts of the Owl in his Ear ......... it was MessY
