I am new. Thats my excuse. I blew the left rear shock out within an hour of purchasing the bike. Question is. should i go to standard progressive shocks? if so any recommendations. I will be constantly loading 325-350 lbs. Thanks for the advise.

The factory shocks are, in fact, rebuildable.

There is a very good illustrated how-to on doing that. I, along with many others, would recommend just rebuilding the factory shocks using Progressive springs and new seals from Mother Honda.
The job is not difficult, and you can save mucho dinero this way....

food for thought...

My bike came to me with the air shock and all the plumbing removed and progressives installed, so I don't know what i am missing out on when it comes to rebuilding the air shock. Can't really say that I am envious though.

I blew the left rear shock out...

Meaning what, exactly? Did it spit the fluid out, did it fall out completely, will they not hold air, or are they just simply bottoming out all the time?
The shocks can certainly be repaired/rebuilt, and the parts are available....just need to determine what the actual malfunction is.

Yes it did blow fluid out and they wont hold air. I tried an air hose at a car wash and you can hear the air pass through. At first i thought it might just be one of the lines but of course it wasnt.. I was just thinking thaat since im so heavy, that a set of regular shocks might be best. hecifino.. thanks

Does anyone have a complete parts list (with OEM or EQ. part #'s) for the rebuild?? Is there a part # for the progressive parts kit??

Rich
I do believe we added those numbers to aapples tutorial in the gallery.
If not, send Joel a pm. I'm sure he'll fix ya up with them.

Last page of my write-up gives the part numbers for the springs, and the seals.

The part number for the springs are the cheapcycleparts number, but the Progressive number was basically the same.
