Hello All,
I would like to say hello from Melbourne, Australia (or Oz if you prefer) and introduce myself as a new member, and hoping that this ends up in the right place.
I recently aquired an Oldwing '75 with about 36,000km (22,000 miles) on the clock that hasn't been on the road for 10 years. I've stripped her down (put a couple of pictures in my gallery - not sure how to get them here yet but I'm working on it) so you can see that a have a frame with a shelf full of parts. I'm buggered if I can get the (ugly, disfunctional) centre stand off, but everything else is separated.
It has some offensive welding on it (side stand repair and Windjammer mount on the steering head) which I will have to redo or remove before I send it to the powder coater. I will start pulling the engine apart next week.
It is inspiring to hear you guys so passionate about your Oldwings and I hope to get lots of advice as I go, particularly on engine improvements.
Looking forward to it.

Stripping Down
I'm told the engine was a bit smokey 10 years ago, the last time it was fired up. I suppose...
