I just bought an 83 GL 1100A last month.
Been surfing the forums and joined here today.
I have learned alot just lurking but eventually ya gotta get in.

First off, thanks for the warm welcome!!

AApple; whats up with that cat. Ha too funny

When i bought my 83 aspy it was together looked nice but has alot of maintenance issues.
carbs redone, forks redone, gas tank removed cleaned reinstalled, rear punkin greased and replaced lube, rebuilding both linked calipers for rear brakes,
rebuilding rear master cylinder, have a head gasket blown so i will be doing that r&r soon, removed the clarion stereo and wiring, have the timing belts ordered to replace,
new voltage regulator, and lots of cleaning to do yet.

Just trying to make it safe enough to ride, trying not to break the bank, Ha ha
Sorry i forgot to take a pic before the teardown, have alot of dirty pictures, will post done picture when finished.
Thanks for the forum, i have found lots of helpful people, information and ideas.
