We set the telescope up in the driveway and were rewarded with a clear view of the first half of the eclipse. Some of the kids, grandkids, and neighbors wandered over, so it was a nice get-together. The town cop noticed us standing outside and joined us long enough to look at the moon through the scope.

It ended when the mosquitoes noticed we were outside and dropped in for supper.

It's good to live in a small town!

Just my luck. Camera all charged up and ready and the sky is full of clouds and it's raining. :head bang: :head bang:

Had my scope set up, clouds pretty much covered it. Oh well, there's always 2033! Holy crap...I'll be 75!!! I remember the last one, in '82. I was 24 and thinking, holy crap...I'll be 57 when the next one happens!
