This is the only picture I could find of it. I was looking for examples of wings that showed off the top frame some. Most of them looked bad but I kinda like this one.
Some kind of tank sitting on top but it's hard to tell in this picture what it is.

I wuz gunna say "No", but...I have now! :smilie_happy:
Now THAT'S a "Rat" ride!! :good:

All I see is the word "image" :headscratch:

edit- OK now I see it. That copper look to the engine parts is kinda cool...but I guess I'm some kind of purest when it comes to GoldWings. Steampunk or Rat me no likey. :cheeky:

~O~

I'd like to see some more shots. It looks okay from that angle, but I can't really see the tank shelter too well. My only complaint is if you go to all that trouble to make it look like that, why use raised white letters???

Yeah, that's one thing that stood out to me too.

Bobbers, Rat Bikes, Steam Punk.... what am I missing? What is the attraction to these types of bikes?

Don't get me wrong I love my Gold Wing but no matter what I do to it or what I take off it will never be a fast bike, that's not what I like about by 1200. In the old country we used to describe things like this as "grandmothers teeth" crooked with parts missing and off colour. My wife thinks I'm just an old Fuddy Duddy but for the life of me I do not see the attraction.

To me this is a nice looking bike

Oh, I forgot about the "purists" Those who believe some engineer, in some far away office, designed the be all, end all, of motorcycle/automobile designs.

I say SCREW THAT!

Chop it, drop it, crop it and make it yours and your's alone.

Rat Bike, Rat rod, sport bike, geezer glide..etc..are just terms.
The day I build a bike based on what others think is cool is the day I should stop riding.

yep all well said ..this whole forum is set up for DIY self backyard tech builds ...i know i have some strange wing builds ...there mostly in the machanical end ...but for sure have my own stamp on the bikes ....im fixing to do one that will have a lot of frame mods to it ...still in the upstairs thinking process
