Yeah.....ya missed it! Back then, many of us were doing our normal posting, searching, reading and watching when there was a blip that prevented access for a night. When it came back up the next day we were joking about it, how some of us were suffering. Later that week Dan was doing maintenance (and I think a backup) and the whole site crashed :shock: :shock: :shock: !!!
(Thoses were some tough days......I remember some of the members staring at their computer screens for days!) Some truely believed that aliens had come and stole the site ( :smilie_happy: ).
In reality, it really was a loss. Some good information was not able to be recovered at the time, but the Members jumped right back in when Dan got it up and running fresh and new and there was an opportunity to start new! Well, the rest is history.
For Members that are seeing this for the first time, please consider the fact that Dan has taken on a tremendous effort to keep this forum up and running and most of this comes right our of his pocket personally! (You really can help keep the forum up and running by donating to the site! Every little bit helps and if you have spent any time on this site you know that this forum is absolutely valuable at keeping these old bikes safely on the road!) :thanks:
