the alternator on the 1500 wing died yesterday but i didn't find out until i went to ride to work this morning. i ordered a new one today while i was at work, it should be here by monday but you have to replace the rubber dampeners also and i'm not sure when they will arrive. hope everything arrives and i can get the parts installed before next friday so i can make it to joes

+1 on a high amp(50) auto reset circuit breaker. It takes a greater current/time ratio to trip than a fuse and if it is a temporary fault it will reset without any input from you. :good:

thanks for the input guys, ill go look in the auto parts store for the circuit breaker in the morning
RV repair shops have them also.

advanced auto parts and auto zone don't carry a breaker rated at over 40a so i went to roseneau powersport and got a couple 55a dog bone fuses for now. the clostest rv place i can think of is near 30 miles from home but i'll check there once the wing is up and running. looking like rain today and tomorrow so monday i will start taking things apart and putting them back together

i found out that the main fuse on a 1500 is 55a and was told put two of them in and to use a washer between the fuse holder and the fuses ( are you listining Omega :) ). i got the alternator in place but i'm having a hard time getting it to align, not much space to work in even with a stock alternator. i took a break before comming close to getting peeved
