Few people realize the the Higher Education System in this country is as much about brainwashing people to liberalism and supposed political correctness as it is real education which all means that they don't stand for something and will fall for anything..
:thanks:  :Doh2:

I think the person(s) responsible for making the rule prohibiting a citizen of the United States from properly displaying the Flag of the United States of America should be removed from office, and possibly tried for treason.

If the kid was somehow improperly displaying the flag, then he should have been educated in flag etiquette and allowed to continue in an honorable manner.

There, for a couple of years, you could turn on the idiot box just about any time of the day and watch as the flag that feeds the world was being burned in a street somewhere. While I don't agree with a lot of todays politics, this is my country and this is my flag.
I wonder how many citizens in this country actually know the proper way to display our banner and are passing that knowledge on to our young?

This is provided for your reading enjoyment: :good:

If I remember correctly the principle said that he didn’t want to offend anyone. If someone is offended by our flag, what are they doing in our country. Personally I think we need more visual displays of patriotisms, and not less.

As for the Bible in a classroom our forefathers never intended it not to be. The separation of church and state was to keep the church out of politics and the politicians out of Gods business.

The funny thing is...the Bible use to be printed and distributed in our school systems all the way up until the late 1800's by our government! The Bible was used for many years as the primary reader and textbook in all of our schools back then. It is absolutely amazing how fast we choose to forget our history and then never teach it for the sake of political correctness. We are assured that free exercise of religion is our right by law (regardless of your religion), but some would have us believe that the Bible was never a part of our history.

Many of this country's leaders learned to read from the Bible. And a lot of those were home schooled as well due to the fact that a lot of locales back then didn't have a formal schoolhouse in place with a paid teacher and all.

The days of the Bible in public schools are gone. The Bible is actually ridiculed, as the theory of evolution is being taught as scientific fact. Yet....in the name of "tolorence" my daughter in the 6th grade was supposed to memorize a passage from the Koran and recite it in front of her class. After a big stink was made, there was an "opt-out" made available for the kids whose parents didn't want their children to participate. Therefore, a noticable event was created every day as the 2 or 3 kids that were opted out were escourted from the class (in view of their peers) to a room where they were to spend 45 minutes coloring first grade homework, then escourted back to class when "social studies" was over. We started home schooling all three of our kids the following year.

There is an annual contest at University of New Brunswick calling

for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

This year's term was:"Political Correctness".

The winner wrote:

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional,
illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by an unscrupulous
mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is
entirely possible to pick up a piece of **** by the clean end."
