I first installed my C5 in about 2015, it has always had the Blue and Brown wire grounded and the Green wire disconnected and I have enjoyed many miles of great, yet sedate, riding with it set up just so. However I believe my existing set up depicts the Green line in the graph below. I'd really like it to react more like the Yellow line in the graph after this rebuild, due to it being built of much younger parts.

The graph is at the bottom of this page https://www.powerarc.com/ids/idsindex.html

Is this set up already available to me by grounding different color wires?

Or should I consider much more drastic alterations to my ignition?

Give Paul a shout out at C5 and see what advice that he has for you.

Ok I'm going on memory....ot deems the green wire is there for electronic taah hook up ..amd not part of the ignition setting wires..the brown and blue wires hooked together in grounded or ungrounded positions set the advance curve ...with your car carb feeding motor you want to go with most advanced setting I'd say ..on my bike it took huge advance curve custom program in by Paul for my bike to run car carb but I also a 1200 short block in my set up ...1100 might not take so much...there is a graph here on the forum that shows the 4 different curves and how to worr the wires in tech references I think it is

Does anyone have an email address for him or some way to get in touch, I had all this 5 years ago when I bought it directly from him, but now, not so much.

It's all right there on his home page... https://www.c5ignitions.com/

Thank you for all the replies, I am now aware, (thanks to looking at it on a bigger screen than the one in my shop,) that the graph I was looking at does not depict the final outcome I was looking for.

But I will get ahold of Paul if I can and find out how I can obtain a more aggressive ignition. Thanks guys!

If you want to tweak the curves, he sells a programmer.
I have one and have experimented some. I found for me and my riding style that the stock programming is very good, but it was fun to play with them.

I did not realize until Joe weighed in that my HOTT/Weber carburation set up might be an issue. I'm not saying that my bike don't git up and go, it did, before it was tore down to make the ultimate machine in my eyes, I have Louisiana speeding tickets to prove it.
