I ride a 76 GL with the last generation Windjammer fairing, the
one with the parking lights/directionals built into the front.
Like most old bikes, the Goldwing "had" a almost inaudible beep-beep horn.
So I stopped at Harbor Freight and picked up a pair of these.
https://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece-12 ... 99911.html
When I got home, I realized that I still had a very OLD (and ugly) set of
Fiamm electric horns sitting up on a shelf.
(The light bulb lit above my head!)
That last generation Windjammer Fairing has a set of grills next to the
built in parking lights/directionals. Those grills were there for the
OPTIONAL horns that were available at the time which mounted inside
the grills.
(The light bulb got brighter!!)
So I mounted the old ugly Fiamms inside the fairing, out of sight
with the horns facing out through the grills.
And I mounted the new Harbor Freight horns on either side of the
fairing facing forward, where the chrome plating can be seen!
That's right! My Goldwing now has FOUR HORNS!
And DAMN are they loud!
Sounds like a friggin' Cadillac!! LOL!!!!!
(Remember the big OLD Caddys with the really LOUD horns?)
That thing is loud enough to put the fear of God in the Godfather!!!
Because I am using two different sets from different manufacturers,
the horns have four different notes, two high notes and two low notes!
OH THE HARMONY IS BEAUTIFUL!! :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

Rednecks around here put actual train air horns on their camo jacked up 4X4's.
They definitely will scare the life out of you, but you have to figure out from what and where the last trump sound is coming from.

I don't care for it but hi viz gear really works better to be noticed by cagers.

Loud horns just seem to piss people off.

I almost never use my horns regardless of what I'm driving. It was 3 years before I even reconnected the horn in my truck.

There is a video somewhere on YouTube of a guy who mounted a set of train horns on a motorcycle.
He has a set of false saddlebags. One fake saddlebag covers the compressor and air storage tank.
The other one covers the train horns. Completely invisible. Loud enough to wake the dead. :smilie_happy:
