I learned this From Another forum and thought I would add it here
Pinesol mixed with water and the parts to the carb left in overnight Cleans the carbs right quick and works wonders.
Just make sure you blow all the water out of the carbs after your done.
 
i HAVE FOUND IF THE CRUD ISNT TOO BAD......5 % ATF IN A TANK WORKS WONDERS....IDLE WITH A HAIR DRYER ON THE CARBS FOR A FEW MINJUTES.....THEN DRIVE, SHUT OFF GAS
RUN DRY
 
I am look to clean my gl1000 carbs in situ. I recall there was a good article on this by Randall Washington Randakk but I have been to the site and the tech tip section Ihave gone. Does anyone have a new long or the details please?

Yes I agree the tips from the Randakk site have gone so any advise on cleaning carbs in situ would be of help
