83 gl1100 carb adjust ment screws on the bottom of the carb next to the bowls how far are they suppose to be turned out

Looks like 3 turns 82-83.

Just an update, maybe applies to you maybe not..I have been dickin with my 82 air screw and found 3 turns out a little sooty, went with 2-1/2 and see how it goes after some riding..Some may be fine at 3 but other may not be.

ideally the screws should each be adjusted to highest rpm. The book setting is just a base setting to get the motor running.
