cassette deck/not spinning the tape!

make's a clicking noise on ? maybe 2 second intervals.. through the speakers.. i do not see where the tape itself is moving.. that,,, is a problem... also the two very small lights stay on ,, yes,,, even when the deck and bike are turned off..... dang me/ wanted to listen to sum roger miller! :fiddle:

i can hear the lil motor runnin in there,, wonder if it needs a drive belt? think the guy i bought it from said something about it needs a ? rubber band.. im starting to get an understanding of how this thing comes apart... someone needs to stop me now! :beg:

Should be a tiny rubberband looking drive belt in there. I suggest you replace it with an O ring that barely needs stretched at all to fit. While you are in there use rubbing alcohol to clean the head and the rollers that feed the tape.

most cd players I've experienced and read of skip from the vibration of the ride.

installed o ring,, unbelievably,, no change.. when i pull out/against the eject button,, this seems to bring the sound to the speaker's best,.. but I think it's something in where that first pulley after the motor,, there's a long bar that goes all the way across there and at the very end is a electro magnet,, ?(a coil w/ in/out capability),, i think that is somthing to do with the forward/backward,, or select button.. I'm thinkn seriosly about maybe bringin it to someone for repair,,, .. probly just needs sum cleaning and oil. The tape is still not moving-turning.
