changing the dash lights

Ok this might sound crazy but I really hate the green of the dashboard and would like to change it to orange or if i can to even pink. My question is simple. is this possible without total dismantlement the cluster. my understanding is that its little caps the lights sit under that give the colour is this true. I'm also interested in making the dash a little brighter if possible.

I think the color comes from the color of the interior walls of the gauges. The reflection of the lights on the green walls give the cluster that green glow. You would need to dismantle the gauges and paint the inside a different color, or paint it white, then use colored bulbs, or use those colored covers that fit over the bulbs.

it is digital that is the truth. once shes back in my hands i'm going to pull her cluster out and see ig its the little colour sleaves

If it is digital you can't change the color mine is an 83 Aspencade with the digital and it is just back lite I was going to make mine brighter but you can't
the green color is the gauges

h well it sucks but i guess i'll just upgrade the lights to make it brighter then.
