You have to remove the rack partway to access the choke cable bracket, remove the bracket, line up cable end and slid it out. The choke cable lever is mounted to the bottom of the air plenum (or chamber), then remove the handlebar end of cable, replace in reverse order. You have to remove the tank cover, lower and inner fairing covers and a few other misc. things to give the carbs room to slid over. If you have a Haynes manual it's page 4-5 and page 4-11.
