I have a Diamond custom seat I had made back in the 80's for my 78 Wing. I had over 70.000 comfortable miles miles on it when I sold it & now its shot. The previous owner leaving the bike sit outside pretty much did it in.
I looked on the internet & seen that their still in business! But in a different city & state. So I'm going to send my pan down there to get redone & add a driver backrest to it.
I've also had good luck with Russell Day Long saddles. I had one on my 95 SE that had about 90.000 miles on it. The vinal on the side was cracked but still good for the all day ride. I also have a day long saddle on my Burgman. All of my seats have had the velor tops.

I told myself I was done buying custom seats & was just going to go the gel pad, air seat, Utpoia backrest route, I have a gel pad I use on my Helix. Yet the seat on my 78 is junk & looks terrible Plus I'm spoiled, I don't ride anything unless it has a backrest.
I liked the Diamond on my 78. Plus their much cheaper than Russell. I'm going to keep this bike so I feel its worth the investment for a comfortable seat & backrest.

What Kind of seat do you use?

I've got a 2000 valkyrie seat on my 83

Thanx guys! I think the fairing is an old wixom. I found it at a little independant BMW shop. He had that one and a similar one with the front signals in it. This one had the better shield. :hi:

nice looking bike!!

I now have a Corbin I bought on ebay secondhand. Very few miles on it yet but if it is like any of the other 7 Corbins we have owned, I will like it a lot.

Since it was built for someone else, if I use the backrest it is unusable for me so I leave it off....haven't had one for years so nothing new....

I had a Travelcade foam and cover from JCW for many thousand miles but I had to use all kinds of airpads, sheepskin, beaded seat covers, gelpad, etc.....in order to get good comfy miles in...in short..it sucked...

It sits a little higher and doesn't slide me toward the shelter like the old stock seat did. It's great all day with no sore spots at days end. For only $130.00 in the box from Honda, You can't beat the value. With the money I saved I repainted the bike and got braided stainless brake linestoo! :good: Any mounting question, pm me with your email addy and I'll email hardware pics back.
