What amazes me with heat like that is car engines with the A/C crankin can actually keep engine temps under control.
Betchya not many old cars go out in that heat.

hit 102 in the Dalles Oregon today Monday 106 Tuesday 110 after that 100 for the rest went for a ride today the wing did
ok did not over heat but ran hot still getting the chattering on heavy excel going to look at timing and check adjustment of the carbs
and going to check vacuum advance to see if it is working
