YW, just happen to have the specs on the desk I was sitting at. IMO Honda didn't get the gearing right until they put the 1200's out.

It says GL1100 final is interchageable with 1200.
Is this incorrect?
(Hoping to just buy 1200 wheel put it on 1100 final.)

Oh hell no!!!!!

The wheel is a 1200... the drive spline is an 1100... one is an innie, the other is an outie.

Oh, and as you can see, the flanges will not easily switch. 5 pin versus 6 pin.

I have been on the Darkside for over 180,000 miles on my 650cc scooters. I have gone back to M/T's a few times but do come back to a Car Tire. So much better all around. It also corrects the speedo error of 10% to about 1% so when I am doing 70 MPH on my speedo I'm doing a true 69 MPH. Before I always had to guess and I did guess wrong once doing what I thought was 67 MPH in a 60 MPH zone and got POPPED at 69 MPH and it cost me $75 plus a day ride to court.

I may do this when the time comes on my 1100i.
