How would a Mofset not overcharge it?
Dead short, electrical.

Maybe you can find a small AGM battery to fit your box? Some for the V twin bikes have to be pretty strong.

I took a hammer, ( Joe made me do it ) to the battery that I cooked last summer. It showed 6.9 volts. It is just 8 lipo4 batteries in groups of four. Four batteries were 3.3 to 4.2 volts. One was 2.7 volts. Tomorrow I will take the other one apart and see what they are. I should be able to get eight good cells and maybe even 12 cells. I need to find a way to control amperage and start recharging them at low amp to begin. I read one post who claims you can restore them.
