With the new job comes training requirements. Early next month I need to make a run to Peekskill, NY for some job training. The decision that I need to make is not if I ride, but rather which one do I ride. It's nice to be in a situation where that is the thing that you worry about. I guess I'll be putting some miles on the 1200 around town to make sure I can rely on it like I do the 1100.

That's why I have parked the 1100 for a while. I want to see what the 1200 is going to do for me around town for a few days before I put any longer trips on it.

I'm riding my 1200 every day now. It just gets better every day.

That's what I am finding out also.

:moped: That 1200 needs her legs stretched!! :whip:

I'm working on it. I don't even have it legal yet...

Really nee to ride them, wings don't like to sit.

Or... Ride one, wrench on the other. It may soon be time to get busy on the carbs.

It would have to be the one you have the most faith in, hopefully it's just a decision on which one is more comfortable :hi:

I've been running the ATF in the fuel on my 84 and the carbs just get better and better. Left work tonight Without using the choke to start just push button and put it in gear. BTW 4000 rpm in high gear is 80 mph.

V I am finding the same thing - the more I ride it, the better it gets. If, and that is a BIG IF, I use the choke, I don't need to use it long. It almost seems like the bike does not need the choke. Those carbs get better the more fuel I run through them. I think the problems I was having the last time I had it running were caused by air leaks at the intake horns. I just am not having any problems this time around.

The motor's sweet spot does seem to be around 4k and yeah, 5th gear and 4k is a hoot! Anything higher than that requires a full face helmet because bugs hurt like hell above 85!

Yes I agree! I just ordered a new FF helmet.

Bugs are pain full, but speeding tickets are MUCH WORSE, hurt more, & the pain lasts a lot longer.
