Looks like it would weigh a Ton.... but it also looks Low and close to the ground , so that would help a lot. but my question is Why ???

I've seen some diesels a lot less attractive. What I'd like to see is a Subaru boxer diesel wedged into a goldwing frame with the title in my name of course. :salute:

The marines have had a couple deisel dirtbikes.
According to my son who is a deisel mechanic in the corps. the main purpose is availbilty of deisel fuel world wide, and the military wants everything from tanks to generators to run on the same fuel so they dont need to import gasoline to wherever there are at in the world.

There are diesel motor bikes in the British Army and have been for some time, the American army is also trialling these bikes with a view to being used in the American Armed forces. but for some time now, not sure how long, in India, there is a bike company there that owns the the name and design rights to Royal Enfield Bikes, and they produce a diesel single 350 and 500 I believe. I have seen them on TV over here just goggle them.

So I took my own advice and typed ..............

indian royal enfield diesel motor bikes into goggle. HOLY CRAP see the results.... Ian

Maybe in a trike. The Subarus are heaps bigger than the GW motors. WRX setups are a lot cheaper and lighter ( more dangerous as well)

I have thing about doing a American chopper style bike.. using a v twin diesel mower engine and a Hadley 6 speed... diesel usually goes further then same amount of gasoline... Northern Tool and Hardware carries the motor.. just kicking out of the box slightly..lol

There are lots of kits and parts for that available. I'd like to try that myself. The parts are a bit too rich for me. I'd think a massive Goldwing frame would be good to carry the weight of the batteries.
