Joe it seems like you are going from no light to Sunlight in the Doghouse....

yeah most are 277 volts ...seems like new ballast in multi volt cost about 30$ ... the 5 grey ones are mullti volt 1000s this is what I bought for ....as these will work with the power I have .....thers enough lighting to work with here that I can really light the grounds if I want to .... I do ....I have about 5$ apiece in them ...so it seems used ones at deals is about 35$ and most are 50$ and over and no where near me ....

well its been a long wait as everything for doghouse has been .....so this is bigtime hardware for me....lighting is huge step ... as this will break into making a great barn and out building for this home ... cant wait to get this pushed into new territory ...

Congratulations! I know you've been hunting lights a long while. It'd scare me just to watch you put them in.

well after a morning of thinking on this ... I have gone from no light to .. I have enough to light the entire property LOL....the 277 volt lights would nave to have ballast change to use common folks power....

I think ill start with a couple of 1000 watter inside probably on separate circuits ... placed to get the best reflective light from the metal roofing and sides....from there I think some converted 400 watters for any specific lighting needs .... and of course some regular lighting too

as for getting started cant wait ... as for the ladder work ....you just do it ... and make the best moves you can think of to get the job done and be safe ....because of the weather I am not getting the lights till Monday hopefully things will be better in temps and roads ... :headscratch:

Just for information purposes, you have worked with electricity before, right! (Just don't want this to be a shocking experience for you!) :smilie_happy: :Egyptian: :hihihi:

well I guess I should mention that the doghouse will have three phase power .... ive already got lots of wood and metal industrial machines ...not sure how much I will use here ... but theres hundreds of hp in electric machinery ... I have a super heavy duty phase converter to get three phase power to run it all ....so I cant tell you how involved it gets to wire all that stuff up I seemed to do it all myself when I did it ...... sheesh the things a person can get themselves into .....when the lights get turn on no telling what I might see
