Don't know about this tube, or what it's for?

While removing my carburetors, (hopefully for the last time,) there was a tube between the bottom of the #3 carb and a diaphragm looking part on the back of the engine, does anyone know what this is, or what it's for??

I understand that I have to place a whole bunch of little air filters around the motor while doing my single carb conversion, but I don't get this one?

It's the vacuum advance line. The ignition pulsers, mechanical and vacuum advance components are in the housing at the rear of the engine.

Still clearing up loose ends.

Thanks that was exactly what it was, ran a tube from the Weber to the ignition set and now it works great, thanks Steve.

It's not there on mine anymore. In fact, I put a small bolt in it to plug it up! :whistling:
