I am currently in the middle of removing swingarm and am stuck, I have everything done, wheel removed pivot undone the swing arm is free but I cant get it off!! does the driveshaft come out with arm?? the bike is a 80 1100i making noise like the universal is going and I want to inspect but cant get it out! very angry and frustrated, this bike has been nothing but aggravation since purchasing it a month and a half ago.

Without the clip being removed, the driveshaft will not slide off of the output shaft. Word of advice - use a good pair of snap-ring pliers because crappy ones will not do the trick. Been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt.

Since you are so impressed with Clymer for the bikes. I recommend you do NOT buy chiltons for your cage.
