We won some $$$ cashing our paychecks at the casino so we we hit Cycle Gear looking for some heat relief for my commuting. It's been averaging about 10F+ above our normal 104-8F here in Vegas so even my budget conscious C.F.O. has been feeling sorry for me, so she let me buy an entire system.

Bilt mesh jacket with very nice protection in every vulnerable area. $90
Bilt cooling vest. $30(reg $59)
Heat-Out stay cool t-shirt $10(reg $30)
Cooldanna gel head/neck band $8

total $138 plus tax.

Last day of the sales and we walked in just before they locked the door. This has been one lucky afternoon for Omega.:yahoo:

Will do. I can tell already without use yet they are all going to compliment each other and make my ride home from work enjoyable again.

Good to see that you will be able to keep cool on Chrystal Blue again Randy :good:

Standards come into their own in this kind of weather. The 91's new tires have less than 45 miles on them, & the 87's haven't been out of the garage yet since mounting them 3 weeks ago. Now the new tires, on the old 84, are well broken in & doing fine, & bike sure likes the increase in fuel pressure, on BOTH standards.

A standard is no better than a full dress when the temp is 125f+ on the street.

85f here this mernin...at 5:30!!! :heat:
I know how it is in the heat, but in Vegas, it's a dry heat..... :hihihi:
I'm curious aboot the "Cooling Vest". I checked it out on the Cycle Gear site, but I'm wondering how the heck can it not get your clothes wet if you have to soak it in water first? Am I missing something here? There's a Cycle Gear right across the freeway from the shop here...I might need to check it out in person. Hunnert degree temps are just around the corner here....whew! :heat:

For sure, let us know how that stuff works on the ride, O-man!!

I bought a wet vest when I went to Sturgis. They really do keep you about 15 degrees cooler. Yes your other clothes get wet but at 100 you do not mind getting everything else all wet. Lasts about an hour or so.
I have also found cutting grass in that kind of heat and wearing the vest- it keeps you cool.

Can't speak about 125 degree heat . :nea: i know at 80 & better its already to hot for a faired bike here, & mine rest till cooler weather.

If I tried to ride in under 80 weather it would leave only about 3months of the year to ride in. Humidity is the one that makes me feel hot, I love the desert heat which makes wet vests and scarfs work well. I always wear my leather jackets to ride no matter the weather  All The Gear All The Time
ATGATT! :good:
