Hello,

What is the best method to re-install an exhaust system? I removed mine on my 1981 GL1100 to replace the exhaust crush washers and now I struggle a bit to line up everything...

Right now the two halves are separated. I assume I should reconnect them and then start installing the front of the exhaust, then lift up the back(?).

Please let me know what works best based on your experience.

Thank you!
Armin

take the two side to bike place them where they go on ground beside bike where centr pipe gose slip the joint together .....lift back up and start bolt through rear where peg and muffler go ...if cant go that high raise it as high as you can both sides and block it up.... then go to front and start a bolt in headers ... do other side two ...then if back not all the way up do it now and starts bolt in rear at passenger pegs ...now do front good both sides the back both sides ...and last center pipe sfter everything else is tighten good and that's it ....
