Hi guy's, I got this fairing for free but it needs a bit of work. I was looking to replace the flasher lens but cant find any. Where would I find this kind of lens, on the tag it's got what looks like Piastivic and Pro Tec To. here are a few pictures.

The fairing looks unfamiliar in the design of the lens but, would help to know who makes the fairing...
I don't think C. Vetter made lenses in that shape, but many had copied his fairings.
Ask Craig directly. He may have the answer you're looking for.

There are too many Vetter Clones to know for sure, but that does not look like anything Vetter had on his fairinfs. If you can't find any, I would suggest making your own by starting with amber colored plexiglass and a heat gun.

You could make aluminum frames for those lenses. Polished and epoxied to the lenses might be the fix and a better look.

I guess I will have to make something up for the lens. The fairing is in good shape, no cracks, and made out of fibreglass, real strong. I tried to look up the name '' Piastivic '' and no luck.

Did you look around inside the fairing? Older stuff used to have metal data plates.
Yes, I did take a look inside, no tag, the only tag is where the power goes in and it says '' piastivic '' and pro-tec-to

That lens looks like something from a mid-late '70 Olds or Pontiac.....don't know of one that would have been amber, tho.

btw...it's "Plastivics", and it's a foreign electronics/electrical company, which may explain the name on the connector(s).

Thanks.
Did you e-mail Craig Vetter?

I can almost swear to the fact that I recall seeing a Vetter copy with the same turn signal lens issue posted over in Steve Saunders forum.
Since his move to M.com, I can't search for anything over there though like I was able to before the move..

Craig is known for replying to e-mail sent from us common-folk. Give it a shot.

The pin-out of the plug is color-coded the same as Vetter's.
The plug itself looks identical.

Hi CM85, I contacted Craig and he said he has never heard of that company, he said I was on my own.

Didn't hurt in trying. Craig Vetter is a Helluva guy.
...something will turn up.

Agreed! I had a question about a windshield that was originally on my Vetter fairing and he was able to confirm it was not a standard windshield ever used on their fairings. (And he also got back to me right away!)
