Thanks again for all the comments and opinions. Really appreciated. Sounds like either way, it will not look too horrible!

Regarding the wrap idea. Cheap enough, but I took a look at my favorite resource - youtube.

This clip is giving me reason for pause:

It only takes 2min 27 seconds, surely you can spare a couple of minutes... :smilie_happy:

Tha trick is it takes a lot of heat. Hairdryer dont cut it. I use a Heat-gun that will solder copper pipes and a propane torch. clamp a 2x4 in yer bench vice and bolt yer fender to hold it steady. Its thick and does take sum force . start in tha middle work yer way out.
I done my fake tank doors ,side covers, and timing chain covers so far. Its pretty durable stuff and cheap and easy to replace or remove .

That is true, but when BikerJoe talks, I listen. His Oldwing is one of the most understated and good looking custom 'wings I've seen in a while. Good eye on that one, Joe.

Thanks Bro

I always liked to try diiffrent stuff. I might not use wrap a lot . But its another way to go and is cheap and durable fer some things that take beating. Some newer cars use it in clear behind tha wheels to prevent stone chips ect.
I still vote chrome on tha fender though
