hope this cuts enoiugh wind for me ..i think it will do fine ...all the push on forks appears down ... :thanks:

I like looking just over the top of the shield with the air just skimming above the helmet. I don't like the buffeting coming up from the bottom like up through the tunnel or around the sides.

well mine is old one too ....and just given to me ....on the test ride it did as i hoped it lessen the air impact from the waist to the top of my chest ...you can get down enough to be behind it if you have to.....seeing how its mounted right to light and gauges nothing comes in down low ...so im quite pleased so far ...as for liking it in the long go we will see .....

I had one on my recently-departed VMax <sniff, still miss that one>.

Keeps the wind off your chest - does a much better job than the small size would indicate. And if you go into "full tuck" position, you're completely in the slipstream.

I liked mine a lot. The Viper I have on my '78 GL does NOT do as good a job.

yes went for about a 300 mile round trip to st augustine fla ....i use a full face helmet always so thats my shield for face ...i actually like the air hitting me at face level as this keeps one cool with full face helmet ..i also like the pressure around face as its a neck exerciser for sure

the shield really takes the wind off om torso and it dose the job i wanted it too....i did run into a little rain ...was not problem really and went right through it ...so im grading it a keeper ...i like the mirros also ..im pleased really well gerry ...but i think some might think it to much wind to deal with ..

cut a couple angles on each side of the bottom of the shield....its pretty much going to be the big test going from Fla. to Ct. with the wind blast increase on trip

Joe! Like the look of the bikini fairing. Fits well with the lines of the bike.

...but I'm disappointed in you, buddy.

What the heck is this:

if you only knew the story on the wiring on this bike ..it started out rather good looking work on wiring then noting seemed to work right ...wiring from on stator wire ...honda did a wiring connection under the black wrap ...sheesh this sorted out a stator a voltaged regulator and other things before the problem was found ....

stator is now from a 1000 used one thr regulator is an 80 yr one ...reserve lightning unit is gone ...and the hot wires inside black wrap are all disconnected ...as this all played out wire nuts got used ...but if you look closely these wire nuts are all seal up and really make great connectors if done this way that shows things that have been wire nutted up for several yrs now ...

plan is to rewire everything myself ..but that plan was when i had several rides to choose from and never lost a ride ..today its just hooch and it doing ok so im not messing with it till i get another ride to ride ...anyway i will have to admit i like wire nuts as they are a spiral wedge clamp and if sealed work better than most connectors do in my opinion ...

ive gotten a rather good dose living in fla of bugs around the swamps and lowlands ....my head is diffidently exposed to bug assault ...but i wear a full face helmet ..that has two shields ..1/2 shades for day riding that pop right down and full clear for night ....keeping the shields clean is biggest deal while riding ...thats a huge problem even with full dresser ...as it dont take to far at some times to get slaughtered by bugs at perfect times and places here ....i actually carry wipes to use on the fly for helmet this works great for me ..in this reguard it actually less trouble to deal with ...cleaning dresser shield on the fly is no easy thing at all and you should just stop to do it .....the long trip im fixing to take will tell the story on this set up ....
