Great Joe, your offer is so cool!

I have problems from time to time, :thanks:

My computer is a Dell Quad core running Windows 7.

I did some searches for a way to fix that dll and came up with nothing but paid software.
Then when I did happen to find the file and put in in the right folder the error changed to something else. :head bang:
Only happens when opening Safari.
Tried a uninstall/install of Safari, no good.

It's not all that big of a deal to get Safari working but I like to use it for certain things so it would be nice.

I have a question someone might be able to answer. It's kinda stoopid, but that's the only questions I know how to ask...

Since I got this new computer, when I "Save" an image, if that image is an animated GIF file(like a smiley :ahem: ), it doesn't actually save it as a GIF/animated file...it saves it as a static, non-animated file, even tho the "file type" shows to be GIF.
If I "Open With" IE, it is magically now animated, but basically useless, since I still can't copy/paste it to a forum page(or upload).
What the heck is going on? I have saved TONS of "Smileys" and animated avatars on my other 'puters, and they have always saved as animated GIF files, and I could open the file and it would work fine. With this new puter, it's not happening...and it's pizzin me off..

This system is running Windows 7, if that helps, or makes any difference. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change, or whut?
:thanks:

Hiya Joel,
first let me explain I'm also a pc tech and kinda a graphix nut.
gif files have the ability to be saved as either a single frame, or as multiple sequential frames.
BUT not all image viewers can understand the multiple sequential format.
this is the case with the built in viewer in windows 7, it doesn't display animated gif's because its more of a "preview" tool.
you can install a third party image viewer that will display your gifs fine. I use AcDsee but there are free viewers that work good too.

Tanx, Jim! :good:
That's kinda silly, I think....why the heck would Windows 7 be a step backwards on stuff like that?
Wait...did I just say that out loud?
So...if I d-load either or both of those programs, will I have to "Open With", or will any GIF files automatically use one of those programs to open it? Not that it matters, as long as I can open them as animated files.
:thanks: :clapping:
I wanna see if I can upload one of them here, and it be animated...
