Fuel Line Question

Just checking on something. Is the fuel line supposed to be 1/4 inch or 3/16 inch?

Have to think, I am almost positive it is 1/4, tygon or polyurethane is best.

That was what I thought, Bertha's last owner had it fitted with 3/16 and one of those cheap cone filters, time to ordr some line and an OEM filter.

I actually think the local dealer will have the filter, the shadow uses the same filter I noticed that on an oil change last week.

To be fair, I have been accumulating parts very slowly for more than a year and basically did everything at once! :hihihi:

If anyone needs a custom fit like this for fuel pipes, just give me a shout along with the sizes and I'll see what I can do for you.

I know this is an older post, but thought I would post this in here in case someone stumbles on it later.

I just replaced the fuel lines on my GL1000 and from my research I found that the Gl1000 fuel lines were 5.5mm , which is a hair under the 1/4 fuel line you can get at big box auto stores. People say that the 1/4 hose works usually, but 5.5mm can be found on Ebay pretty consistantly-

My fuel line kit uses 5.5mm hose.
According to Randakk, 5.5mm braided hose is difficult to get in the States.
