Must if been a Canadian that did that chart. Except there should have been a spot for both a hammer and a bigger hammer.

Don't like duct tape, especially trying to remove it, but I carry a can of WD40 in the saddle bag, great TEMPORARY lubricant, removes tar and other petroleum based things, great for lubing switcheds and side cover grommets.

WD 40 is also great at removing the glue left behind by duct tape :smilie_happy:

But back to a more serious note........... They left out bailing wire on that chart. :rtfm:

Bailing wire was phased out in the late 60's and bailling teine replaces it... I tried the balling twine once to hole a muffler on but it diden't work for more then a minute and then started to melt :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

actualy when I was racing in enduros I kept a small set of vice grips in the tool kit. when the clutch cable broke or the lever or purch (which happend several times over the years) I could clamp the vice grips to the end of the cable and have a passable clutch..also workes as break for the same reasons. However if it breaks at the lower end or in the middle !@#$%^&*(*&^%$#
:sensored: :sensored: :sensored: usualy the best prevention was frequent lubing and carry a spare of each in your backpack

I like armed forces duck tape it stronger than the regular tape.we had fun at work one day we taped this young man to piece of wood board and we put a whole in the top side and lifted him off the ground ...He didn't come off ........had to get him undone before the boss caught us.we got him off but couldn't hide all balled up tape on the floor... lost some *ss that day

I prefer J.B. Weld....for e-v-e-r-y-t-h-ing.... :Egyptian: :smilie_happy:
Used J.B. weld on a fiberglass gas tank some long time ago on a 125 cc  .Got me back home, eventually ended up repairing it with a fiberglas kit.

Duct tape and JBweld won't fix a snapped clutch cable. Now what?
Snapped a clutch cable at the lever couple years ago on the wing :Awe: ,pulled to the side of the freeway, pulled it out of its housing made a circle at the end big enough to fit 4 fingers thru it :builder: with the length of the cable a bit shorter then my knee length resting on the right peg :builder: wraped the circle with a rag as to no hurt my fingers :beg: left hand resting on my right knee tightly and doing a pull upwards with right leg would actuate clutch to get me started  .Broke down 3 exits away from home so I wasn't that far to get bike back.On the street tried to stop the bike at the safest places posible on stop signs, lights, etc. To let traffic flow :eek:k: and not get run over  .Comments anyone :Egyptian: :Egyptian:
