i bought a 1100 in the spring and rode the wheels off it and i like the bike but am a little cramped for leg room. does anybody know if the 1500 has more room in this area? the 1200 is no different. yes i have highway pegs, but trying to move a size 11 boot around to shift and brake is a real pain especially with a passenger. by the way the 1100 is up for sale. thanks for any input

well this is the one thing that oldwings or even the newer ones can be slamed ...the motors do stick out ...i certainly hopr the 1500 has more room ... but it cant be much more ...but i find that after continued riding im quite comfortable on the oldwings ...i at first had problems liking the seating and feet possitions ...but the advantages of the oldwings motor smoothness and comfort far out way the disadvantages and got real use to it till now im not comfortable on other bikes ... but i sure dont like nothing but pegs and regual gear shift for me ...the floorboards i dont like personaly

the 1500 i 3" longer wheelbase. i wondered if that would make the difference. yes i have floor boards. i like them and i do not think pegs would help. i am 6' 3" and that is the problem

I tried the floorboards and they are great - right up till the time you come to a red light or finish riding for the day or pull over to whistle at girls or pretty much everything else that involves stopping. And thats not to mention the shifting - a heal toe shifter makes you have to reach even further back than without the floor boards.
not for me.
I ended up getting a set of Kuryakin Pegs - adjusted them about 15 times until I finally got them just right. WISH I DID IT YEARS EARLIER. Priced a lot more expensive than regular pegs but they are Much better

my 1500 wing has more room ( than my 1200 wing ) for me and my size 12 feet. although i don't have a passenger often and even with the trunk relocation kit on the 1200 the 1500 wing has more room for the passenger

Do you have pegs or floorboards on the 1100? I'm 6'3" with a size 13 boot. With the floorboards and highway pegs I have more than enough leg and foot room. As far as comparing the 1100 to the 1500, I've never been on a 1500.

floorboards with heel toe shift. i realize i am not going to have "harley" type forward controls but its like i am riding a sport bike. was just curious weather the 1500 was a little longer in the leg room area. sombody take my 1100 and i will find out for myself. ha ha

I would trust Doc's opinion on this one (detdrbuzzard) as he has both 1200 and 1500. I'm looking to move from my 1100 and 1200 to a 1500 in part for this reason. Me and my size 15 feet  need a bit more room to be comfy!

(Yeah, yeah, wish it were true! "Big feet, big..."

well we will see what sort of deal pops up over the winter. who knows, maybe a 1500 will be in the drive come spring. hard to sell a bike this time of year and i would like it to go before a new one comes along. but who knows
