I bought a MC Cruise cruise control for my 82 GL1100 earlier this year and paid over $800 for this unit. I sold the GL1100 and the cruise control is still in the box it came in.
The wife told me several weeks ago that I needed to trade up. When the Spousal Approval Light is on, you have to act fast, so I bought a slightly used 2010 GL1800.
I'm told by the folks at MC Cruise that this unit will fit virtually all older bikes (and many newer ones) with an additional $50-$100 in brackets. They are also willing to provide technical support. The installation instructions/documentation that came with this unit is some of the best I've ever seen (and I used to be a technical writer).
