I was gifted a 80 GL1100. It ran 2 years ago and according to my Brother it purred like a kitten, he tried to start it last fall to no avail (bad gas)

I syphoned the bad gas out put fresh gas and seafoam in. When i went to start it all that happens is the solenoid (right beside the battery) just clicks. I checked the dogbone fuse and its ok.

It looks like my Bro may have tried to boost it when he was trying to start it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

First off you need a fully charged battery. Next it would be a good idea to remove the plugs and squirt bit of penetrating oil in before you try to crank it again.

You need to clean both ends of both your battery cables and make sure you have clean ground also. If it's been sitting for two years, the battery is probably suspect also.

Be careful. Mine did that once and turned out it was hydrolocked on one cylinder.
Pull the plugs and try cranking. Careful, gas might spray out.

Bought a parts bike one time - the guy told me it was siezed and turned out to be hydrolocked!
