Going "LED"

I'm not sold on LED's just yet.
I like the instant on but aside from the fact that LED's use ALOT less power, my experience is they dont last longer than incandescent bulbs, maybe even less time.

Trucks I see out on the road have a good number of them out in the tail lights.

Here's a video I got the other day trying to show what I mean about LED's dieing in truck lights.
My camera doesn't have good enough resolution to pick up the reds that were out very well but when he turns the left turn signal on you can see dead spots.

I had bought a handfull of the reds for 98 cents each. I just had the chance to put them in the trunk light bar and I'm here to tell ya, they're every bit as bright as the incandescents they replaced.
