The Goldwing God's are behind me.. :smilie_happy: .You can see the magic in this photo... :smilie_happy:

Yah lot's of Work Yah  , I can do it... :smilie_happy: I spent hours on the valve covers...and Belt covers

Anyone have a set of chrome fuel pump cover they would like to get rid of...???

:?: Question on engine "shiny stuff" - I have already polished the valve covers, timing belt covers and the carbs; any reasons why I cannot do the same to the fuel pump this winter? Any other engine parts I should consider??? Thanks! :thanks:

You can polish any of them.Alot of people do the forks, wheels, timing, valve covers, fuel pump, whatever they can get to_Only reason the big parts dont get as much.Is it is a very labor induced process.

I've been considering doing the wheels, but it looks like a REALLY labor intensive project.....anyone here done there wheels?????? Even if I have them media blasted first, the polishing looks like it'll take many, MANY hours..... thoughts?

The 83 wheels would look great polished but like you say, A LOT of work.
I've thought about painting them, maybe a red or gloss black, mostly to get a smooth surface that's easier to keep clean or show the dirt less.

Well, for some that live in the cold regions of the Nation or Canada it could be a good winter project..

:good: I may just take this on as a winter project when I put the bike to bed......since I just paid to have the new Metzlers mounted and balanced, I think I'll leave the tires mounted and see how I can work around that... guess first off would be stripping the black paint of the wheels....maybe oven cleaners or paint stripper?
