Looking to add another digital camera to the household i.e. mine. The wife 'borrowed" ours and it is in Brazil at the moment. I miss it.

I just need something that works - post pics on the forum/CL maybe a pic or two of myself :Egyptian: I can't tell the difference from a $300 to a $500 camera/set of speakers etc.

I don't want to spend more than $100 including tax and or shipping.

Anybody got a good recommendation?

thanks

Well cell phones now take very good pictures, that's one option....Get an upgrade of your current phone.

As for a camera, the more Megapixels the higher the cost. Other things add in like lense type etc. etc. but I find for everyday stuff a 2megapixel camera is plenty good image quality.
I don't even know what they're up to now, 12 MP and better so a 1.5-2 MP will be cheap at most local electronics stores.
Also can try the local surplus stores and pawn shops, a good reason to go for a ride around to check them out.

I got a refurb Kodak 5mp camera from Ollies for $60 that takes nice pics and recharges on computer USB port. Its been one of my better purchases.

My Samsung focus is 5 mp. Pretty handy. All I need in my pocket. Take pics as I disassemble, makes life easier. Best part: free with renewal of plan.

bought a $100 dol. Olympus today! Now I can post up some parts I'd like to sell....

14 mega pixels - I can't tell the difference.

that is 11 more mega pixels than the first one I bought for 4 or 5 times that how many years ago????

that problem solved.....

I'm not a phone photo guy. I've got the cheapest phone out there probably and it does take pics but I haven't figured out how to download them and not interested. A phone is a phone and a camera is a camera. Hey I'm old I can't help it!

We have 2 choices here for photos, upload them to the gallery or upload as an attachment
I prefer everyone use the gallery, its easier to maintain.

Now post in the for sale forum and include your pictures.

i don't like using the camera on my phone, there is no flash. and to me the pic's i took at " old mans cave " look bad because of the lack of light an no way to compensate for it with the phone

i got a kodak 12 mega pixel at target last year. i think it was $119. 12mp is awesome! great pics with that one.
