Thanks to all for the replies, seems I'm not the first to experience tire rub ! Spent a lot of time searching and reading about this issue ! What I have done is ordered a new Shinko Tourmaster tire in 140/90/16 , I now have the correct spacers for the axle , I have new brake pads , they were almost metal to metal, as yet I have not bent the torque arm . Also I will get some pictures up of this and start posting in the 1100 sub forum . Again thank you all !
