:crying: :Awe: :head bang:

So...the owner has sold the shop. New guy takes over tomorrow. But...current owner still wants everything here finished TODAY(Yeah...lemmie know how that werks out for ya, Boss....)
I've got 5 transmissions to build today...it's lunchtime...I've only finished ONE, and I came in a hour early today. On top of that, one of the OTHER shops(our competitor down the street) that I/we also build for is calling wanting help with THEIR stuff.
3 weeks ago, Boss talked me out of taking my vacation, which would have been last week, but will pay me for it anyway. I tried to 'splaint to him it's not aboot the $$$$, it's aboot gettin the hell out of dodge for a while to relax. The deal was that I would not take the time off now, but once the new guy comes in, I'll tell him I have vacation due/scheduled, and I'm taking it, since it will already be paid for.
I 'spect the new guy will clean house, but rumor is that I will be safe from any mass "Hit the road, Jack!" scenarios. We'll see. I have a standing offer from the shop down the street to work there for $250 more a week, for the same hours. Just the thought of having to move all my crap outta here, especially since my truck is down, and I've got no other vehicle to haul my trailer with....and the trailer has a flat(broken valve stem). :head bang:

I'm too old for this s :sensored: t... the rats are winnin...:swoon:

hmmm sounds bad ..in the world of swamped work seens no money to be had really people dont get out of good situations ... somehow this aligns up with that id say....in a world where lies rule out truth ..there is no making sense out of things by design ... capable people like you left wondering what up and what for sheesh :headscratch: at some point you have to wonder how catering to idiots works out good for anything ... toilet please.. toilet perfectly good tool just the wrong people going down it is the problem ... the tics of the world should be going down toilet not the shperds who take care of life ...you my friend are a shepard joel :thanks: for your service

After all of this time, I sure hope you get to take that vacation before making any other move! More at the other place is very tempting, but I would make sure the new shop standard at your current workplace is worth leaving before I made that move (and have to start all over again).

You can only do in one days time what can be done in one day's time. No need trying to do any more than that; when you do, that's when :sensored: happens.

I would say take the time off and if the new boss is there when you get back, great. If not, move on down the road.

The name on the place where I work has changed 4 times in the 18 years I've been there. Latest plant manager just started yesterday. Name as I understand it will be changing again soon. There isn't one salary person still there that was there when I started. Get the money push for the vacation and keep on truckin".

New owner decided he wanted to "go another direction with the builder".....I'm now a free agent.... :smilie_happy: I guess DOWN the tubes is a new direction, right? Everyone else QUIT today. Wonder what the heck happened? :hihihi:
I gotta go get new tires put on me trailer tomorrow, and load my stuff, and get the heck outta dodge..... :fiddle:
