Ardmore Ok.
I wouldn't mind getting another inch rise on my bars but looking at the brake line on my 80 it seems almost extended, has some slop but not sure how much, haven't tried unbolting the bars yet, I have a seized bolt and am not up to breaking it loose just yet.
I see them on some GL`s most go back and down not strait back, maybe back/down uses less slack?
Thanks.

There should be enough slack in the line. It goes from the master cylinder directly to the splitter, but should be long enough for another inch or so. Best guess...

Brake line maybe okay.. need to look at the throttle and clutch lines.. those will be the ones that may give you fits... you may have to reroute the path for them...

I put 1-1/4 risers on my 83. There is just enough length on the cables, it is for sure the limit.
I don't know about the stock brake hose, mine is stainless steel and may be a touch longer.

I have the 1 1/4" setback risers and could not do without them! I had been suffering from rotator cuff tears and tennis elbow in my right arm and using those setback risers moved the handlebars exactly where I needed them. In short order, everything felt 1000 times better!
