Harley production slows due to shortage of Japanese parts!

I remember when almost everything here in America was made Here . But now .... if you look close almost everything , everywhere , is made somewhere else . so...... are we still Making Anything ??? and if so... where the Hell Is It. :smilie_happy:

yeah we did kinda get side tracted , sorry folks .......... it seemed like the Harley thing pissed some folks off . I really have No problem with Harleys ......or Harley Riders ...as long as they act the same when they are ON their Harley as they are when they are Not on it. . . But , IF a Leather Jacket with Harley Davidson wrote on it changes the way you think and act ... then , we won't ever be able talk about anything much. :smilie_happy:

It's no secret Harleys are over 30% Japanese parts from Showa suspension to Honda carbs, heck even the pipes are from China. I wonder if production has slowed? One could bet they wouldn't admit it.

All I can say is,,,,,,,,,when you look on the vin tag on my 82 GW,,,IT READS.made in the "USof A"
and jus like any other bike,it also reads,of USA and Japanese parts...
