I've been thinking about traveling up to northern Minnesota to see the forest and the lakes. Has anyone else ever done this before? Do you have any recommendations of what to see or where to go?

My brother lives in St. Paul area. We went up to the northern parts for boating and camping. Beautiful country, nice roads, lots of lakes, and mosquitoes that team up to carry away small children. Could be a nice trip.

What part, Dan? I'm in the NW, and there isn't much but flat, open road. The central part has plenty of rolling hills and lake country. 371 is a good ride. Then the North Shore isn't bad, from Duluth up Lake Superior.

I see the name in my area. A few in Warren, mn and some in the Park Rapids area.
I think most use "Soukup' as last name.
